If you’ve been living together with your partner before you announced your engagement, you know it’s hard to think of things to put on your registry. We understand. These items can be something that you use every day and want to upgrade, or things that you want because you think they’re cool, BUT you don’t want to drop the money on it right now. Here are some ideas we’ve come up with to help you decide what to put on your registry as a couple who already lives together:
1. House-hold items. This one might seem lame, but how long have you had a lot of your everyday stuff? Maybe it’s something like a new set of full pans, or perhaps new bathroom towel. It could even be that new living room rug that you’ve been eyeing but haven’t decided when you want to get—household items are always a good addition when adding it to your registry.
2. If you’ve been to a wedding, you know how many pictures get taken. If you haven’t—a LOT of pictures get taken. If you want to ask for something personal that you know you’ll keep for the rest of your life, ask for a personalized wedding album. Trust us, you’ll want to keep these pictures on hand and easy to grab and look at when you miss your big day and need a pick me up.
3. Honeymoon fund!! We can’t stress this enough. Nothing is more stressful than going through your big day, putting all these details into it, and now scrambling around for the honeymoon. People would gladly put money towards something they know you and your significant other will love rather than get something you may or may not like.
4. It is all the trend, and it is all worth the hype—an air fryer. You have the happiest day of your life, you go on your fantastic honeymoon where everything is catered to your liking, but now it’s back to the real world with your significant other and it’s the first night to cook. This is the easiest and fastest way to eat dinner that ranges from crispy tenders and fries or air fryer salmon, the choices are endless.
5. Who doesn’t love packages? Subscription boxes are one sure way of getting packages delivered to your doorstep monthly. There are options that range from books that you can switch off with, or even meal prep subscriptions that will feed you and your significant other at least three times a week: it’s the gift that keeps on giving (and one that we recommend).
